Please be getting off script ASAP! The best thing you can do to help this show is know your lines at least 4 weeks before opening night!
We will have a work day all day and evening on Monday, October 31 if anyone is available and wants to help out. We will probably get started around 10 with breaks for lunch and dinner. Literally will be here all day!
Cemile is going to be our costumer for this show. She is great. Please be patient with her and wear whatever she tells you to wear. It is a costume not your personal wardrobe. She may ask some of you if you have things you can bring in. This will be helpful if you do.
Lauren Sterban will be taking our publicity photos and cast photos. I want to get a shot of Virginia, O'Hanlan, Evie, Sean, and Santa next week for the papers and the posters. If you have something that is approriate at home please bring it in this Saturday for Carol to look at. If not, plan on staying after rehearsal Saturday to look for something that will work.
Women, we ask that you wear black character shoes if you have them. If not we have some here at the theatre that you may try on or ask around and see if you can borrow some. If you are going to continue to do this "acting" thing it wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in a pair as most shows require them. (you don't have to though, just a suggestions.) You will also need black tights/hose/knee highs for costume. Women didn't show their legs then.
Everyone will have only ONE costume except those men playing more than one part. We change the look through accessories. Remember this is NYC in 1897 and they were poor. Most people only had 2 outfits. - an everyday outfit and a go to church outfit.
Keep up the good work!
Tonight is Principles Only Act 2.
Saturday is ALL. Please make every effort to be there. We are really running short on time!
Adults, if you are up for it we may start running rehearsals a little later on the principle only nights to get in some extra work. No later than 9 or 9:30. I will let you know ahead of time when that will begin.
Thanks again.
David
